Approximate cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 4 (8-oz) t-bone steaks, 1 1/2 inch thick
- Pinch salt and black pepper, to taste
- Pinch garlic powder, to taste
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Directions:
- Bring steaks to room temperature. Preheat grill to medium high heat.
- Rub steaks with oil and season liberally with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Place steaks on grill and cook, covered, to desired doneness; turning 3 times and rotating 1/4 turn each time. This will give you the diamond shaped grill marks. For medium-rare steaks, cook 17-19 minutes total cook time. An instant-read thermometer should register 130-135 degrees. For medium, cook approximately 20-22 minutes or until an instant-read thermometer registers 140 degrees.
- Allow steaks to rest 5 minutes before serving.
