Ingredients
- 4 slices Udi’s Multigrain Gluten Free Bread
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 1/4 cup milk (can use almond/rice milk instead)
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons butter
Directions
- Whisk together all ingredients except butter and bread in a small baking dish until blended.
- Heat butter in non-stick pan or griddle over medium-high heat.
- Soak bread for 1 – 2 minutes on each side in the mixture. If you’re using a thicker bread than Udi’s, soak for longer.
- Using a fork or tongs, remove each slice of bread from the liquid and allow excess liquid to drip off.
- Place in skillet and cook on each side until browned. Serve immediately with maple syrup, jam, fresh fruit or honey.
