CLASSIC GREEN SMOOTHIE

Ingredients
  • 2 cups loosely packed spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 2 juicy medjool dates, pitted (or 1 tbsp liquid sweetener of choice)
  • ½ unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp vegan protein powder (optional)
  • 4 ice cubes
  • Water or almond milk, to thin
  • Ice, to thicken
Instructions
  1. Place everything in a Blendtec or other high speed blender.
  2. Puree until smooth and a completely uniform green colour appears (about 30-45 seconds). Thin with water or thicken with ice, if required, and blend again until smooth.
  3. Serve in a chilled glass with a glass smoothie straw (if desired).
