If you’re looking for something creamy, cool and loaded with chocolate, this is the perfect smoothie for you. You needn’t give up your favourite treats altogether, but when you’re requiring something a little healthier, this chocolate avocado smoothie is a welcome alternative.
CHOCOLATE AVOCADO SMOOTHIE

Ingredients
- ½ ripe avocado, flesh only
- ½ banana (frozen for added creaminess, if desired)
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 2 large, juicy, pitted dates or 1 tbsp honey or 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder or raw cacao powder
- 2 tsp coconut oil
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 3 ice cubes
- Water, to thin, as needed
Instructions
- Place everything in a Blendter and purée until completely smooth.
- If it’s too thick, thin with water, 1 tbsp at a time. If it’s too thin, add a couple of ice cubes. Serve.
Notes
Add a scoop of your favourite protein powder for an extra boost.
