Approximate cooking time: 10 minutes (doesn’t include time for marinading)
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lbs flank or skirt steak
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp gluten free Worcestershire sauce (try Heinz or Lea & Perrins)
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp Tabasco sauce (optional)
Directions:
- Mix together all ingredients except steak. Pour over steak. Cover and let stand in refrigerator for 8-24 hours.
- When ready to cook, remove steak from marinade; discard marinade. Allow steak to come to room temperature.
- Preheat grill to high heat. Lightly oil the grate or spray with grill or cooking spray. Grill steak 4-5 minutes per side or to desired doneness.
- Allow steak to rest 5 minutes prior to slicing and serving. Slice against the grain and serve.
Note: May be broiled instead of grilled. Broil 4-6 inches from heat source to desired doneness; about 5-6 minutes per side for medium-rare.
